Visitors

You will probably need a Temporary Resident Visa (TRV) if you are a citizen of a certain country to visit Canada, your family, a friend, or for business purposes. Several visa categories are available: Tourist Visa, Super Visa, Business Visa and Commercial Visitor.

The Visitor visa gives you a maximum stay of 6 months. This will depend on how much time the agent will allow at the point of entry.

The Super Visa allows you to visit your children or grandchildren. It is generally valid for up to 10 years.

Stays can last up to five years without having to renew visitor status. You must therefore meet all the eligibility criteria.

The Business and Commercial Visitor Visa allows you to take part in international business activities, for example to meet representatives of companies that do business with you, or to take part in invitational training received from a Canadian company. Training could focus on product development or marketing.
